Eddy is the oldest bear currently living at the Habitat. He was born in captivity on December 10, 1999, and he is in our care while his accommodations at the Quebec Aquarium are being renovated. When he returns to the Aquarium, he will be joined by two other male bears, Hudson and Humphrey.
Since having access to the lake enclosure, Eddy has spent a great deal of time swimming and exploring the water and surrounding shores. He eats cattails that he pulls from the water and he has taken to interacting with enrichments in the water, too.
Watch Eddy live on our webcams – best viewing times 8am-5pm – Eddy can usually be found in the Chukchi Enclosure
